Shed Equipment Anchor – Secure Fixing Point for Bikes & Tools | DIY Install
Turn your wooden shed into a secure storage space.
Most wooden sheds have no truly strong point to lock valuable equipment to. The Shed Equipment Anchor solves that problem by creating a tamper-proof fixing point you can trust — ideal for securing bikes, mowers, ladders, or power tools.
Each anchor is made from a single 40 × 5 mm thick galvanised steel bar, folded into a strong top-hat shape that bolts right through the shed’s wall frame. The result is a solid 40 × 40 mm loop where you can pass a chain or cable up to 40 mm in diameter.
Two heavy-duty 10 mm bolts pass completely through the wall stud and cladding (up to 70 mm combined thickness). Once tightened, the bolt heads shear off, leaving nothing to undo — the only way to remove the anchor would be to cut through the steel or the shed frame itself.
Everything you need is included:
Hot-dip galvanised steel anchor (500 g total weight)
2 × 10 mm diameter shear-head bolts (100 mm long)
Dome washers & nuts
Full PDF installation guide
Just drill two holes through the frame, bolt the anchor in place, and it’s ready for use. The installation takes around 10 minutes with a drill and spanner.

Q: Can I fit this to a metal or concrete shed?
A: It’s designed for timber-framed sheds. For metal or concrete, different anchors are required.
Q: Will it fit my shed wall thickness?
A: Standard version suits 50 mm studs plus 20 mm cladding (≈70 mm total). Contact us if you need longer bolts.
Q: Is it weatherproof?
A: Yes — all components are hot-dip galvanised for corrosion protection.
Q: What tools do I need?
A: Just a drill with a 10 mm bit and a spanner to tighten the bolts.
Q: Can I use more than one?
A: Definitely. Larger sheds often benefit from two or more anchors for easier access to secure different items.
